GPS problems, still

Turf Version

Steps to reproduce

Go toward LiUzone from south, SörgårdZone from southeast or NewYardZone from south, with some speed. Stop inside the zone. (There are more examples but these were the ones I stumbled upon when hunting the Neutralizer medal...)

Description

The map shows me standing on the road, outside the zone, although I am inside it on the bike track. If I kill the app and restart I end up inside the zone. I have also tried walking into the zone, at a right angle from the road. The green man stands still even though I'm moving. Once it finally gave up and leapt to the correct position but other times I had to restart the app to get any movement. In other words, the GPS still seems to snap to the road. I suspect from the tracks that other turfers solve this dilemma by simply riding onto the grass. If you can't fix it in another way, maybe the zones could be made a little bigger?

Thanks for your issue report! Please report specific zones that you believe are sensitive to GPS issues, so that they can be enlarged.

Interesting about GPS positioning on iOS: ilquest.com/2012/11/02/ios-... Turf for iOS is currently using the default value for CLActivityType but will most likely change to CLActivityTypeFitness in the next release.

I thought that change had been made already, since you closed the old issue where it was suggested. Looking forward to the next release! 8-)

I had much trouble with this a few months ago, but since then positioning behaviour hasn't been a problem until this morning. I updated to iOS 7.0.5 last night, maybe the positioning service has changed? Anyway, I am also looking forward to next release of Turfgame for iOS!

I usually go past the zone, away from the road as this will "un-snap" me from the road and then I can head back in to the zone. This is tricky if there a roads on all sides of the zone. If the CLActivityType-thing is the issue I would really like to see this changed as soon as possible.
