Turf v2.0.5 stops working while taking a zone

Steps to reproduce
Take over a zone with the screen on and Turf client GUI open.
Description
Expected behavior: The client should run and continue to run smoothly and then show the take over dialog.
Observed behavior (in about one of five take overs): During the take over, the Turf client, hangs or deadlocks the GUI. Mostly the GUI does not start again and sometimes it starts working again after being noticeably slow. The take over seems to continue and I get a "Zone Taken" notification from the app.
Killing only the GUI, using the recently used apps menu, results in a grey screen when starting the app again. Killing the entire application using the app settings does make it possible to restart the app.
When the GUI stops working, the overall performance of the system is affected and it almost not possible to switch to another app or use other features on the phone, which makes me expect that it is hanging. It seems to differ depending on time of day and therefore potentially on the overall server load. It was much worse after work (17:00 - 18:00 CEST in Göteborg), than early in the morning.
I've never had this specific issue with any previous versions of the app.
