Steps to reproduce

Turf app version: 1.2.5 Open app. Take zone (A). Turn off screen (app should be running in background). When I move to the next zone (B) and open app on phone, the app still shows me as positioned on zone (A). Sometimes I can wait for 10 - 30 seconds for app to relocate me / position me in zone (B). Other times I have to restart app to get to new position / zone (B).

Description

So I guess the app is not running in the background or GPS is not giving new coordinates to app when running in background.

Running 1.2.5 Seems like there are changes to the location provider in Android 8.0 which limits GPS updates with screen off to a couple times per hour (might be solvable with Turf as a foreground service}. I haven't tried this yet but it seems that it can be solved by using ADB to whitelist the app, see www.xda-developers.com/andr...

V 1.2.5 Same here, same android version and same proposal to solution. Very annoying, forces me to keep the screen on.

Att visa aviseringar på låsskärmen verkar lösa problemet för mig, men det känns mer som en workaound än en lösning eftersom det drar mer batteri även om man inte använder turf. Att ändra inställningarna för strömspar eller databesparing påverkade ingenting.
