This happened again, about an hour after the start of the new round. This time the behavior was slightly different. When taking the zone there was still a one segment progress bar, but not filled, just a green border. And as soon as I turned off the screen, GPS was disabled. When enabling it again, there was a short flicker of the splash screen. Just like the last time, the app was partly unresponsive and I had to force stop it to restart. After a restart, everything was back to normal.

Today it happened again. I took ten zones normally, but after the tenth zone was taken, GPS turned off in the app. When I enabled it again, this time the progress bar was neither filled nor had a border. It was just on large gray segment. And as before, I hade to fore stop the app.

the problem seems connected to your phone aggressively turfning off gps when app is in the background. however fixes are made in the next beta to make turf accept this better.
