Unfortunately Google makes it hard for us to support older models. There are more than one bug that appears if you have android 7 or 7.1 . We wil fix some of the problems, but not all will be fixed. Be prepared that android 7.X will be completely unsupported in the future.
If you join the beta channel in google play where the turf app is, a new version beta version will come out today or tomorrow where at least starting the app should be crash free.
