Steps to reproduce

Reported this issue before (015729), I thought it was solved after removing and reinstalling the turf app. Made 5-6 successful starts after reinstallation. But a few hours later, at a new startup, it crashed again. Typical sequence: Start the app, it appears to come up but disappears within a second or so. Start again, now it stays alive but does not get data from server. All zeroes in points and pph. Not responsive (except moving the map). Kill it, start again, now it works. According to a thread on facebook (Turf Ourdoor Expecience) another user has similar problem with a Samsung S22. I've asked her to report an issue.

Crashes at startup, exactly as described above. It also crashes or freezes when Turfing, after working OK. It rarely goes more than 30 minutes before crashing/freezing, sometimes much less. Requires 'Force Stop' when freezing, but can still crash on reopening. This happens on new phone from first use last week. For the first couple of days I got a system messages (didn't screenshot) saying something like 'This app frequently crashes, contact software developer'. Reinstalled app several times. This phone replaces an A52s which is just an earlier version, also on Android 14 but with One UI 6.0 and I had no trouble with that at all.

Further to my comment above, I have found that the situation has been much improved by clearing the data under ‘app info, storage’ before reinstalling. It requires logging in again with a code sent by email. The data had been transferred from the old phone using Samsung Smart Switch. Now it will crash about once every three hours Turfing, instead of three times per hour.

Semester that a lot of users have similar problems on various Samsung devices, somewhat different depending on model, according to a couple of threads on facebook "Turf Outdoor Addiction". - App crashes immediately at startup - App crashes after a while - Phone reports that "Turf App crashes frequently - App is nonresponsive after startup, except that it's possible to move the map Seems that reinstalling the app, clearing the cache etc may help temporarily but not solve the problem. Someone please can fix it, a lot of people are really annoyed! - App is nonresponsive after startup, except that it's possible to move the map

Same issue for last two or three months but getting more frequent. App starts OK but within a few zones it fails to register a zone takeover and then goes into a cycle of crashing, failing to restart properly, failing to register takeovers. Seems to be triggered by any momentary loss of signal - it can't recover. It happens more often with phone in pocket than with phone on bike handlebars (ie signal impaired in pocket). Deleting and reinstalling no effect. Phone restart no effect. Samsung A32 5G
